MSSMST visit to Azerbaijan to boost ties: Pak envoy

“Pakistan & Azerbaijan are more than friends, they are brothers,” said Khalid Usman Qaiser Pakistan’s Ambassador in Azerbaijan at a dinner hosted by him in honour of visiting Malik Saad Shaheed Memorial Sports Trust (MSSMST) delegation from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pakistan.

The delegation was headed by Vice-Chancellor Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan & Member MSSMST Board of Trustees(BOT) Prof. Dr. Ihsan Ali and also included Trust Acting Chairman & CEO ICMS Tajamul Hayat Malik, former MPA & Member BOT Dr. Zakir Shah, University of Peshawar Sports Director Bahar-a-Karam, Director-General Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa & Member BOT Muhammad Javed Marwat, Bank of Khyber’s Director Media & Member BOT Syed Ali Nawaz Gilani, Ex-Additional Secretary to Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa & Member BOT Muhammad Dawood Khan, Veteran Industrialist & Member BOT Imtiaz Ahmad Ali, MSSMST Secretary Amjad Aziz Malik, Trust Administrative Officer Irshad Ahmad & Member BOT Shakeel-ur-Rehman. Pakistan’s Ambassador Khalid Usman Qaiser mentioned that Azerbaijan recently got independence but in a short span of time there are visible developments in all fields of life.

The Founder of Azherbaijan Heydar Aliyev presents President Ilham Aliyev lead the Azerbaijan on socio-economic developments which are clearly visible. Ambassador Khalid Usman mentioned that Azherbaijan is Sports loving country and winner of 10 medals in London Olympics. Next year they are hosting European Games in 2015 and also in 2017 Islamic Solidarity Games will be held in Azerbaijan for which various latest Sports facilitations Centre, Stadiums are under final stage of construction.

Ambassador Khalid Usman also advised Pakistani Industrialist, Business community members to find out venues for investment and business opportunities in Azerbaijan, and also appreciated the activities and achievements of MSSMST,added that self funded this study tour will be of great help and guidance for promotion of Sports linkages not only between two countries but we can also learn more from their experiences in the field of Social Sports Sector.
