The Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (HESCO) has disconnected power supply to more than 55 villages to recover heavy outstanding dues pending since long.
The HESCO officials said the recovery campaign was launched on the directives of higher authorities. They said more than Rs 55 million were outstanding against these villages. On the other hand, over 700 electricity connections were also disconnected in Muzzamil Town, Taj Colony and Nara Colony on non-payment of bills.
The HESCO authorities said the recovery campaign would continue.
