KARACHI-

Pakistan’s most prominent humanitarian and philanthropist Abdul Sattar Edhi has returned home after being discharged from Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation (SIUT), a private news channel reported on Wednesday.

Speaking to the reporter, Edhi said that he is well and has resumed his work at the Edhi Foundation.

He added that he wants the speculations about his health to end.

He said that he goes for kidney dialysis two day a week, adding that both of his kidneys have failed.

Edhi told the reporter that his doctors have recommended a kidney transplant but he does not want a transplant, at least for now.

Social media on Tuesday went rife with news about Edhi being admitted to the SIUT in a critical condition. Prayers, wishes and worries came from all parts of the country.

He remains the most respected and much-loved humanitarian of Pakistan.
