Police on Tuesday successfully recovered a six-month-old baby girl kidnapped from the city the other day.
Parents said they brought the baby, Maliaka Fatima, for TV commercial audition at a local four-star hotel after a woman, Misbah Khan, who invited them through Facebook.
The accused took along the baby and did not return. Later, they demanded ransom from the family. The family members reported the incident to police. On tues, police came into action and conducted raid on a house after tracing the abductors’ location.
“We have arrested the lady and two of her male accomplices while another managed to flee,” a police officer from Artillery police station said. He said the baby had been recovered safe and sound.
