Police has recovered a six-month-old baby girl from internet mafia on Tuesday.
According to reports, the parents of the baby said that they brought the baby, Maliaka Fatima, for TV commercial audition at a local four-star hotel when a woman named Misbah Khan, called them through Facebook.
The accused took along the baby and did not return, the family members told police, adding that the kidnappers later demanded ransom from them.
However, on Tuesday the police came into action and conducted raid on a house after tracing the abductors’ location.
“We have arrested the lady and two of her male accomplices while another managed to flee,” a police officer from Artillery police station said.
He said the baby has been recovered safe and sound.
