He said that the entire process, from purchase till distribution of the laptops, will be completely transparent.

The CM said that the Punjab government is taking short, medium and long term measures for the uplift of the education sector and in addition to promotion of education, special attention is being paid to teachers’ training, adding that the British Department for International Development (DFID) is playing a commendable role in this regard.

Referring to his recent visit to Britain, Shahbaz said British Prime Minister David Cameron, deputy PMs and other ministers appreciated the measures taken by the Punjab government for development of the education sector and it is a matter of honour that friendly countries are extending full cooperation for the progress of education and other sectors.

Shahbaz directed that the initiative of computerisation of the examination system be accelerated as it will help ensure complete transparency in the examination system.

The CM took notice of the incident of snatching of solved papers in Bahawalpur and ordered immediate arrest of the culprits.
