Several rallies were held in various cities of the country in solidarity with the Pakistan Army.
Reports said the demonstrators said that allegations against the armed forces were not acceptable and that no compromise would be made over sanctity of the defence institutions.
In Lahore, two-wheel adventure group took out a motorcycle rally. The rally was taken out from Lahore to Head Baloki. The participants said that no one would be allowed to hatch conspiracies against the state institutions.
Another rally was held in Tharparkar by civil society and trade association. The demonstrators shouted pro-army slogans.
The Shehri Action Committee took out a rally in Mirpur to show respect and love for the armed forces. The rally was taken out from Ghanta Ghar that ended at Bhittai Chowk. Children wearing military uniforms demonstrated in favour of the army during the rally. Traders, student, religious and minority organisations held a rally near Kashmir Chowk to show solidarity with the armed forces. Demonstrators demanded end to the media trial of defence institutions.
The Pakistan Muslim League (PML) took out rallies in 12 districts of Punjab to express solidarity with the Pakistan Army and the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI).
PML-Q President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain said that the nation was standing with their army and any propaganda against the institution was unacceptable.
Kamil Ali Agha and Muhammad Munir led the rally from Muslim League House to the Lahore Press Club. The participants held pro-army banners and placards.
PML leaders Riaz Asghar and Bismah Riaz Chaudhry led a rally in Mandi Bahauddin. A good number of women and children were present in the rally.
A rally, led by Shafaat Hussain and Imran Masood, was taken out from Zahoor Elahi House in Gujrat. The participants in the rally demanded that the people speaking against the Pakistan Army should apologise to the nation.
A rally in Multan was led by PML-Q leader Mushtaq Ahmad Ansari. The participants of the rally shouted slogans in favor of the military. They demanded action against the elements levelling pointless allegations against defence institutions.
Rallies were also taken out in different districts of Punjab including Sargodha, Rawalpindi and Jhelum to support the military.
People of Sindh also took to the streets to express solidarity with the Pakistan Army on the call of the PML.
