More women accuse Max Clifford of sexual assault

Troubles could be far from over for disgraced public relations guru Max Clifford who spent his first day in prison on Friday.

Though a London Court found him guilty for eight counts of indecent sexual assault involving girls and young women aged 15 years, Scotland Yard has now said that other women had since come forward with allegations of sexual assault.

Following sentencing, a spokesman for Scotland Yard confirmed “We have received further information and this is currently subject to review.”

The Court earlier said that the 71-year-old considered himself “untouchable by law”.

Passing the sentence at Southwark Crown Court, Judge Anthony Leonard told Clifford “The reason why they were not brought to light sooner was because of your own dominant character and your position in the world of entertainment which meant that your victims thought that you were untouchable, something that I think you too believed.”

The judge added “These offences may have taken place a long time ago, when inappropriate and trivial sexual behaviour was more likely to be tolerated, but your offending was not trivial, but of a very serious nature.”

Judge Leonard also added that the publicist will actually have to serve at least four years of his sentence without bail for the assaults he carried out over a 20-year period.

Detectives of Scotland Yard meanwhile said they are looking into fresh allegations against Clifford.
