LAHORE
The Punjab Internship Programme would have a far-reaching impact on economy as the country is in a dire need of skilled people.
The programme will pave the way for a considerable boost to industrial productivity besides ensuring provision of tailor-made manpower to the manufacturing sector, said Pakistan Industrial and Traders Associations Front (PIAF) Chairman Malik Tahir Javaid in a statement on Friday.
He said the programme that had been launched for the first time in the province would help industry get required people while at the same time it would also bring down the fast galloping graph of unemployment. He said internees would have to show their best abilities to get their due place in the job market. Javaid said all over the developed world students get jobs only after completing internship in the area of their studies and that was the only reason that these countries were economically strong. He said the Punjab government deserved praise for launching a very productive project. He urged internees to waste no time and focus on their work as their working record would enable them to carve their place in the job market.
