Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has announced a complete boycott to the Geo Network and Jang group after their campaign against the country’s intelligence agencies.
During his press conference in Islamabad on Friday, Imran Khan accused Geo network over election rigging and said that the group was directly involved in rigging elections. He also forbade his party members from participating in any programme of the channel.
He said, the network tried to malign the most important institution and his party will continue to boycott the network until or unless they tender a public apology to the agency and PTI.
He said that the group was awarded heavily by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and its biasness towards a party changed the whole course of elections.
He also criticised the role of former chief justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry and returning officers designated at the polling stations.
He said the the role of former chief justice and returning officers was not only ‘sharamnaak’ but ‘sharamnaak plus’, and urged the current Chief Justice of Pakistan Tassaduq Hussain to take suo moto action against all parties involved in poll rigging.
He said the network and returning officers were culprits of the nation and country and should be held accountable.
He said that PTI will announce its future plan of action in a massive gathering scheduled on May 11 at D-Chowk in Islamabad.
This is a developing story.
In support of his pay masters.
