Police have arrested the nephew of MNA Jamshed Dasti for allegedly raping a girl.
According to details, Nasir Dasti is accused of raping an FSc student Shazia in Deenpur area of Muzaffargarh District. Nasir was nabbed by the locals and was severely thrashed. They also shaved his head, moustache and eyebrows and later locked him up in a room.
The Civil Lines police took the alleged rapist into custody.
The father of the victim, Abdul Lateef, could not stand the incident and was shifted to District Headquarter (DHQ) hospital in critical condition.
Moreover, a case was registered by the parents of the affected girl in Civil Lines police station.
