Implicate Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Pervez Khattak said on Friday that the process of accountability of government employees will be started after the appointment of Chief Ehtesab Commissioner (CEF) and all official involved in corrupt practices would lose their jobs.
He said the Ehtisab Commission will be independent and it could even call the chief minister of the province and arrest him if he was involved in corruption.
Addressing a public meeting in his constituency village Bahadar Khel, Khattak said the commission will recover every penny from the corrupt elements who massively misused the public exchequer to build their own empires.
He assured the people that the Ehtesab Commisiion will make corrupt rulers accountable for every single act of wrongdoing, adding government employees have been instructed to perform their duties dedicatedly and live within their resources and monthly salary.
“Any government employee found involved in corrupt practices would lose his job,” he said.
He claimed that feasible projects would be completed in time as all loopholes have been plugged, ensuring the judicious utilisation of funds. The government departments have been given targets which they have to meet, he said.
The CM said that justice and merit would prevail in all departments. The government institutions would have to serve the masses and play their role in the development process. The education and health institutes would be equipped with all kind of facilities and the head of the department would be accountable for any shortages.
Loadshedding has become a problem of the entire country, he said, adding that his government has prepared an energy policy at the provincial level for a permanent solution to this problem.
He said 350 small hydel dams would be constructed to generate electricity for domestic and industrial purposes.
