  1. AoA, im working in Qatar for 6 yrs, first of all i wants to warmly congratulate you people on launching of 3G service in Pakistan. I hope mobilink would provide its quality services as cellular through out the country. I wants to mention ur attention towards provision of service on GT Road. I lives in a village Bakrala in Tehsil Sohawa District Jhelum. Mobilink has its tower in the middle of our village in addition to GT road tower near domeli more alongwith other 4 cellular towers. We dont have PTCL service in whole area which is comprising thousands of users. since PTCL or 3G EVO dont have business there, you people have an opportunity to start ur 3G services in the area. thanks, an early response would be highly appreciated. best regards Tahir Kayani

  2. Very few people in Pakistan have given a positive response to the launch of the 3G internet from the mobile companies. One of the main reasons is that the mobile companies do not have the data centers to provide all their customers with sufficient 3G connectivity. Broadband service providers have excellent data centers for internet services whereas 3G/4G mobile companies will have to setup high end servers for new users. This shows that the mobile companies are not ready to provide high standard internet coverage like the broadband internet providers of Pakistan.

  3. It is commonly observed that Cellular companies in Pakistan are known to provide false information about their packages. These companies deduct more money than they offer in their packages. While the cheapest home broadband packages are generally less costly than the cheapest mobile 3G/4G packages. Also 3G/4G has a data cap, so streaming one movie online will use your monthly package. One hour of HD (1080p) videos can be up to 2 GBs will not only consume your data allowance but drain your cell phone’s battery life as well. According to many people Broadband services are better for video calling and have minimum lag. So keeping these things in mind I would say broadband is still the better choice.

  4. I am a broadband user and I know the importance of broadband over 3G/4G service. One always gets a consistent internet speed on a wired/wireless broadband connection compare to 3G/4G connection. Moreover It is expected that it will take 4G networks to establish themselves at least 3 years as they have to install an infrastructure all over the country to be fully accessible which wireless broadband is already established all over the country.

  5. Internet usage on a PC/Laptop is still considered to be the ideal way to use internet in Pakistan. Because using internet on PCs is more secure than using internet on cell phones. Many Pakistani people do not have any kind of internet connectivity on the phones so they use broadband internet on their PCs and laptops.

  6. The main problem with 3G/4G is that it doesn’t allow connecting with multiple devices like wireless broadband does. Lacking this feature make 3G and 4G really uncertain to opt them either for professional or personal errands.
