JS Bank Limited (JSBL) and Inov8 Limited (i8) have signed an agreement for the implementation of a Branchless Banking (BB) and Mobile Financial Services (MFS) solution. JS Bank plans to enter into the branchless banking domain of the country by developing a large agent network by partnering with network providers, telecom and other companies to deliver a unique set of transactions and services that are currently not available to the un-banked segment of our society. On the occasion, JSBL’ President, Khalid Imran, said, “I believe that the mobile technology has become an extremely important mass outreach platform for the delivery of banking services, worldwide and in Pakistan. JSBL wishes to play a significant role in this domain in the future and plans to reach a large under-banked segment, by enabling a set of new and desired services for this market. We are happy to be partnering with Inov8, in this strategic initiative.”
This is an excellent innovation by JS Bank. Other banks will follow soon.
