PESHAWAR-
A remote-controlled blast on Wednesday killed at least five militants and injured three others in Shaktoi area of South Waziristan, a private news channel reported.
According to the news report, officials were quoted saying that the blast was part of the continued infighting between rival groups of Sajna and Shehryar Mehsud; under the umbrella of Tehreek-e-Taliban (TTP).
Key militant commander Amir Hamza was among those killed, added the officials.
Previous clashes between the groups have left many militants dead.
The infighting was reportedly suspended following a truce brokered by the Afghan Taliban.
