Says Pakistan’s leadership and armed forces have right and power to reciprocate sentiments coming from across the border

Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan Tuesday, reacting over a statement given by India’s Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate for premiership Narendra Modi, said that Modi’s statement was “irresponsible and shameful”.

The interior minister said, “First Modi should decide where Dawood Ibrahim was living at and later dream of attacking Pakistan. It looks like Modi has not learned from his shameful mistakes and is earning a bad name as chief minister of Indian Gujarat.”

Nisar said that this provocative and condemnable statement of expected Indian premier and leader of a major political party was “touching the last limit of enmity towards Pakistan”. He said that Modi’s statement against Pakistan particularly Muslims reflected that he would destabilise regional peace if he comes in as the Indian prime minister.

The interior minister that said those who were giving statements that Pakistan was sheltering Dawood Ibrahim and launching operation on Pakistan‘s soil should realise that neither Pakistan was a weak country to get scared of such threats nor the Pakistani nation could be impressed with such irresponsible statements.

Nisar said that Pakistan’s efforts for peace in the region should not be considered its weakness. He said that Pakistani leadership, people and particularly the armed forces have the right and power to reciprocate the expression of sentiments coming from across the border.

  1. nisar should understand it is election time and politicians do make such statements, for a nisar to get personal shows his lack of understanding and experience.modi has got more sense in the tip of his little finger , than pakistan's full cabinet. It is well known all over the world for pakistan to harbour terrorists and then deny, as in OBL episode. In the fullness of time, nisar will regret his words, but for the time being lets put it down to him having a bad hair day (no pun intended).
