Army chief to attend closing ceremony of ‘Abdullah’s Sword’

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif on Tuesday flew for Saudi Arabia on his two-day visit during which the army chief will meet Saudi authorities.

According to the ISPR, the military chief is visiting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at the invitation of Saudi Defence Minister Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz al-Saud.

Besides meeting Saudi authorities, ISPR said, the army chief is scheduled to attend closing ceremony of Saudi military exercise “Abdullah’s Sword.”

Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, King of Bahrain Hamad ibn Isa Al Khalifa, UAE’s Crown Prince Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, Jordan’s Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour and military commanders from Gulf Cooperation Council countries will witness the exercise.
