Police bust four-member robbers’ gang

Airport security officials on Tuesday arrested a passenger at the BenazirBhuttoInternationalAirport in Islamabad after recovering 1.5 kilogrammes of heroin from his possession.

According to the sources, a man at the Islamabad airport was caught by the security personnel who were scrutinising his luggage at the Anti-Narcotics Forces (ANF) counter.

The passenger was leaving for Dubai from where he planned to go to London, sources said.

ANF officials arrested the suspect and began investigating the incident.

 

BUSTED:

Meanwhile in Rawalpindi, City Police busted a four-member gang of dacoits from Naseerabad and recovered illegal arms from their possession.

Acting on a tip-off, Naseerabad Police raided a locality falling in its jurisdiction and arrested Imran, Tauqeer, Khurram Khan and Abdul Rehman, seizing two 30-bore pistols from them, a police spokesman said Tuesday.

The police have registered a case against the accused and expecting more revelations during the investigation.
