Joint patrolling of Rangers, police likely soon

A joint patrolling of Rangers, Punjab Police and Islamabad Police is likely to be launched this week in all sensitive areas, entry and exit points and important avenues of federal capital.
About 500 personnel of 3 forces will join this joint patrolling who will remain present at different halting point. They will be capable to reach any place within 7 minutes in the event of emergency.
Sources said the arrangements have been finalized for joint patrolling of Rangers and Police in federal capital under the directives of interior ministry.
Halting points in respect of this joint patrolling will be set up in different areas including red zone, diplomatic enclave, Constitution Avenue, Bhara Kahu, Islamabad Express Highway, Jinnah Avenue, 9TH Avenue, Peshawar More, Islamabad Chowk, T-chowk, Rawat, Tarnol and other areas. The vehicles of patrolling staff of all the three shifts will remain present at these points. They will work as quick response or rapid response force.
