TNS Beaconhouse arranged a seminar on the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program at the Royal Palm Golf and Country Club on April 26.
Established in 2007, TNS Beaconhouse is Lahore’s only authorized IB World School. The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) is the preferred pathway for entry into the world’s leading universities at present. The purpose of the seminar was to introduce the IB Diploma Programme to students in order for them to understand the IB system of learning and its advantages. The session was well-attended by students who are appearing for their O levels and may want to consider switching to the IB stream after O levels.
Starting with an overview of the IBDP by Mr Clive Barnes, Head if TNS Beaconhouse thereafter, TNS Year 10 students shared their experiences of studying at TNS as well. The seminar comprised of several short and informative segments. Ravale Mohyeddin, the Admission Counsellor at TNS gave a talk on University admission and IBDP recognition. The IBDP modules of study were highlighted in details in the presentation entitled Creativity Action and Service conducted by Mr Aurangzeb Ali. One of the most interesting segments was a session with Ian Chambers Director-General IB Asia-Pacific the seminar closed on an interactive note with a students’ panel discussion with the Deputy Head of TNS Beaconhouse Ayesha Kasuri. TNS Beaconhouse’s IB Co-coordinator Asma Amana Ali was also present to provide students with the information on IBDP.
