Federal government has decided to release 13 more non-combatant Taliban prisoners in an apparent bid get the peace talks back on track.

Informed sources said that Taliban nominated peace committee had contacted Taliban Shura during which they decided to hold a meeting in next two days.

Sources said Taliban Shura needed time to fix the date and venue for next round of peace talks with the government peace committee.

Taliban too have hinted at releasing some of the hostages, sources added.

It may be recalled that the federal government had set free over a dozen Taliban prisoners in the first week of current month with PM House categorically stating that none of them was combatant.
