In a rare public address after being indicted in the high treason case, former president Pervez Musharraf said everyone should first think about Pakistan.

He was addressing the participants of a rally taken out by All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) workers at Do Talwaar in Clifton area of Karachi on the telephone.

Musharraf said Pakistan was passing through a tough phase, reiterating what he did was in favour of Pakistan and with the utmost of sincerity.

“You are witnessing whatever is going on in courts,” he said, adding that it was a tough phase which he will endure with courage.

Amid his address, participants of the rally kept chanting slogans in his favour. The ex-president thanked the party workers and other participants for attending the rally.

  1. General Musharraf is the requirement of the time. There is no doubt that Musharraf boldly owned the action taken by Army, as an institution, in retaliation to Nawaz's stupidity to hijack Musharraf's plan and attempted to get him killed by air crash due to shortage of fuel or get him POW by forcing him to land in India. Nawaz's relative PCO CJ Rana Iftekhar instigated the people through his public call through newspapers to frame concocted cases against Musharraf, while in service. Somebody should have highlighted these criminal actions of then PM and PCO CJ, instead Musharraf is just being humiliated.
We will have to get rid of these fraud degree wadera turned politicians and their street gangster’s supporters, as the Chinese cleared off their opium edicts. There is no semblance of patriotism, loyalty to the people, sense of responsibility etc, in these reptiles, claiming to have people's mandate. It would be wonderful, if Musharraf joined by Tahir-ul-Qadri, MQM and PTI stand against these fraud degree Wadera and gangsters turned politicians and bring in a real Pakistan loving group government.
