ISLAMABAD-

A video message of Ali Haider Gillani, son of former prime minister Yousaf Raza Gillani has surfaced, a private news channel reported.

According to the news report, Interior Minister Ch Nisar Ali Khan has confirmed that a video message featuring the former PM’s son has been received by the government.

In the video message, Gillani, tied in chains, stated that he has been kidnapped by a group of ‘Mujahideen’ who are not under the control of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).

Gillani said that his family was not serious in its attempts to get him released, added the interior minister.

Gillani has further conveyed that his kidnappers have given a one-month ultimatum to arrange for a ransom of Rs 2 billion for his release but, adds Khan, the ransom money was later reduced to 50 million by his abductors.

  1. peanuts for gilani -he made enough whilst being pm and from his other interests as well.any amount to save his son's life is worth it – you cant take money to your grave.

  2. Kidnapped because Musa Gallani did not return the money from ex-MNA of FATA for promising a seat in the Senate which never materialized as senior Gallani was sacked as PM
