According to latest records, from the start of this year till now, 51 police personnel have lost their lives in fight against terrorism in Karachi.
The statistics show that with the recent assassination of suspended police inspector Shafiq Tanoli, death toll of policemen killed alone in Karachi has reached 51.
According to data collected a private news agency, 25 policemen including Chaurdhry Aslam, were killed in January this year. While in February, 18 policemen including three sub inspectors were gunned down, and in March the targeted assassinations of police personnel were five.
However, during this month, three policemen including Shafiq Tanoli have lost their lives in targeted attacks.
Earlier today, Police officer Shafiq Tanoli and three others were killed in an explosion that took place near Karachi’s old wholesale vegetable market on Thursday.
