Five people were killed and 10 others sustained injuries when a van collided with a truck in Rahim Yar Khan on Wednesday.
The speeding van coming from Sadiqabad crashed into a truck that was parked on the road. The injured who are reportedly in critical condition were immediately shifted to a hospital.
Pakistan has one of the world’s worst records for fatal traffic accidents, blamed on poor roads, badly maintained vehicles and reckless driving. In recent days, the country has witnessed sharp rise in the number of such deadly accidents.
