Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique Tuesday said that negotiation was still the right option to restore peace in the country. But he made it clear that the state would act against those who rejected talks.
Interacting with reporters at Karachi airport, Rafique said the people of Karachi remained hostage since 25 years. “Karachi has been a tale of gangsters rule for 25 years now,” he said, adding that targeted operation was gradually improving law and order situation in the city.
To a question, he said Rehman Malik’s statement should not be taken seriously. Earlier, Malik said that the Punjabi Taliban were involved in 50 percent terrorist attacks.
