Naseeruddin Shah might have reportedly walked out of ad-film-maker Veena Bakshi’s directorial debut without completing the schedule, but that didn’t stop the makers from going ahead and somehow releasing the film The Coffin Maker.
The movie went on to earn accolades at several festivals in India and abroad, and now, it has even won the National Award in the best English feature film category. But none of that seems to matter to Naseer, who has disowned the film.
When we reached out to the veteran star on April 20 to congratulate him, he replied via SMS, saying, “No film of mine has won any award. That is NOT my film in any way. It won an award for what??!! Best incomplete film? I don’t want to talk about it sorry. (sic)”
