*Minister says drive against dengue to continue in current season
Campaign against dengue is a continuous effort and will uphold this campaign during the current season, said Punjab Minister for Excise, Taxation and Finance Mujtaba Shujaur Rehman during the awareness campaign against dengue at Wasanpura on Tuesday.
Mujtaba Shuja said the people that elected representatives played a commendable role in promoting public awareness against dengue in previous years and efforts will be made by the government to prevent dengue virus.
He said the Punjab government had provided 19 percent additional budget for the provision of health services in Punjab increasing the health budget up to 102 billion rupees. He said that ulema should communicate people about protective steps regarding dengue virus in their individual as well as collective contacts. He said that ulema could successfully execute the awareness campaign during prayers to the society.
He said that in present season, with the cooperation of masses, we would be succeeded to control over the dengue virus and all available resources were being utilised for this purpose.
