BJP leader from Bihar Giriraj Singh on Sunday told an election rally in Jharkhand that those who want to stop Narendra Modi from becoming the prime minister should go to Pakistan as they would have no place in India in the coming days.
Singh, who is contesting the Lok Sabha election from Nawada, had accused Modi’s opponents of acting on behalf of Pakistan.
“Those opposing Narendra Modi are looking at Pakistan and such people will have place in Pakistan and not in India,” Singh told a poll meeting at Mohanpur Haat Maidan near the temple town Deogarh on Friday.
He also said, “Those who have united in Bihar and the country to stop Narendra Modi from becoming Prime Minister are pro-Pakistan. They have no right to live in India.”
Giriraj made the remarks in presence of former BJP president Nitin Gadkari, who himself stirred a row by telling reporters in Patna that casteism was embedded in Bihar’s DNA. Later, he said he meant Bihar’s politics, not Bihar.
Gadkari also accused Congress, RJD and his party’s former ally of 17 years JD (U) of being “multi-communal” and practicing “terrorism in the garb of secularism”.
