Eligibility of PML-N MNA challenged in LHC
Eligibility of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) National Assembly Member Asfandyar Bhandara was challenged in the Lahore High Court on Saturday.
The petitioner through his lawyer AK Dogar submitted that Asfandyar was a tax defaulter and a reference had been submitted against him with the National Accountability Bureau.
He said that accountability court has also issued non-bailable arrest warrant against the MNA over tax fraud.
The petitioner said that during submission of the nomination papers for general elections of May 11, 2013, Asfandyar Bhandara misguided the election commission as he hid the facts in the papers.
He pleaded the court to declare the MNA disqualified under article 62-63 of the constitution.
