A bus-trailer collision on Sunday morning killed at least 41 people injured several others on the National Highway in Sindh’s Sukkur district, a private news channel reported.
According to the report, the accident took place near Pano Akil area in Sukkur when a bus traveling from Dera Ghazi Khan to Karachi collided head-on with a trailer.
Rescue sources were quoted saying that the bus carrying more than 50 passenger collided with the trailer when the bus driver lost control of the bus.
The bus passengers were stuck in between their seats, unable to get out on their own.
Police personnel and rescue teams rushed to the site of the accident and began cutting through the wreckage of the bus to rescue the victims.
According to sources, the deceased included women, children.
The bus and trailer drivers were also injured, they added.
