Nandipur power plant to be completed by year end

Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif has said that the Nandipur Power Project was restored by the Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) government within months.

Shahbaz was chairing a key meeting on Friday to discuss the ongoing work on the power project. Nandipur Power Project managing director, Gujranwala commissioner, Gujranwala DCO and officers of various sectors were present in the meeting.

During the meeting, Shahbaz said that the power plant was the worst example of criminal negligence shown by the previous rulers. He added that the first turbine of the power plant will start functioning by the end of May 2014.

The 425 megawatt Nandipur power plant will be completed by December 2014.
