Gas pipeline blown up in Sibi

A four-inch diameter gas pipeline was blown up in Sibi, about 145 kilometres southeast of Quetta, on Saturday morning.

According to Levies sources, the explosion which was caused by explosives that were attached to the pipeline, suspended gas supply to Khajak Town, the second largest village in the district.

Levies personnel along with security forces reached the site of the explosion and cordoned off the area. However, no one claimed responsibility for the attack till the filing of this report.

Confirming the news of explosion, an official of Sui Southern Gas Company said that the gas supply was restored after a span of eight hours.
