The colours of Punjabi culture dominate ongoing Lok Mela organised by Lok Virsa, where maestro artisans and folk singers from all over the province are showing their skills.
Punjab Council of the Arts Executive Director Asif Pervaiz accompanied by Deputy Director Art and Craft, RAC Resident Director Waqar Ahmed visited Punjab pavilion, said a press release on Saturday.
Punjab Council of the Arts introduced new artisans in Lok Mela this year whose artistic work achieved thunder appreciation from the visitors. The novelty was seen in camel work, decoration pieces from bamboos, glass work and work from leaves of dates.
The village in Punjab Pavilion remained source of attraction for visitors and particularly foreigners.
Pervaiz, speaking on the occasion, said that patronisation of the Punjab government gave encouragement to the artisans. He added Punjab province has a rich traditional culture and government is making all out efforts to preserve it.
