KARACHI-
Renowned TV anchor and journalist Hamid Mir is now in a stable condition after being wounded in an attack on Saturday in Karachi, doctors have said.
According to a news channel, doctors are monitoring Mir who is now out of danger.
Mir was on his way to his office in his car when he was attacked by unidentified gunmen near Shahrah-e-Faisal.
According to sources, the attackers were on a car as well as on a motorcycle and followed Mir for quite a long time.
He sustained injuries and was rushed to a hospital and admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU).
He was reported to have been hit with two bullets, one in the hip-joint and another in the abdomen.
An attempt over his life was also made previously by planting a bomb in his car.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Chief Minister Punjab Shehbaz Shairf, former president Asif Ali Zardari, Muttahida Qaumi Movement Chief Altaf Hussain and PPP Patron-in-Chief Bilawal Bhutto Zardari have condemned the attack on the senior anchor.

We pray for his early recovery; saddened to see ISI being dragged into it. A sensible approach is required in this matter but what can one say it is lacking in almost all spheres in the life in Pakistan.

Shame on us we pray for an indian agent in pakistan, his fathers role in creation of Bangladesh is widely accepted, his father is remain accepted and awarded as a hero of bangladesh freedom under the banner of India against Pakistan in 1971.
