Rs 1.2b to be spent on Thatta, Sajawal

A package of Rs 1.2 billion has been approved for development of Thatta and Sujawal districts.
This was announced by MPA Owais Muzaffar while presiding over a meeting on Wednesday. He said that maximum amount will be spent on health and education sectors. He said that civil hospitals will be improved to cope up with modern health facilities and all other health centres and schools will also be improved.
He directed to set up a police picket in civil hospital for safety purpose. He said that 200 doctors will be appointed to meet with the shortage of doctors.
He said that Rs five million will be spent for supply of clean and filtered water to Thatta, Makli and Sujawal cities.
He said that solar lights will be installed on national highway from Gagar Railway Crossing to Sujawal.
DC Thatta Agha Shahnawaz Babar, Thatta SSP Haseeb Afzal Baig, DC Sujawal Shaukat Jokhio, Sujawal SSP Fida Mastoi, PPP district president Arbab Wazir Ahmed Memon, former Sindh minister Sadiq Memon, PPP leaders Imtiaz Qureshi, Humera Alwani, Pir Rahmani and officials of all concerned departments attended the meeting.
