The time spent with grandparents is a vital element in the upbringing process of a child. As it is these people who make sure that a child is given adequate love, care and affection. Be it the narration of the stories or the hidden morals which our grandparents meant to tell us; everything holds a special feeling attached to it.
But have we ever realised whether we are giving them the same love and attention which they gave us? Are we even doing anything for the inexorable services which they rendered when we were little and our constant whining and crying became trouble for everyone except them? We all have work commitments and busy schedules but don’t the elderly of our houses deserve something better?
There seems to be a dire need of a service for the elderly people in Pakistan which will specifically serve this niche and provide them different facilities. This club should aim to offer them a platform to build relationships with people of their age and to have a worthwhile and relaxing time.
To all those people who think the only solution for keeping their elderly parents in old-age houses when they are not able to give them time, this option is worth a consideration.
