After Supreme Court ordered the federal government to appoint a Higher Education Commission (HEC) head on priority basis, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday appointed Dr Mukhtar Ahmed as the new chairman of the HEC.
The prime minister also appointed Pervez Saeed as the managing director of the state-run House Building Finance Corporation (HBFC).
