Corpse-eater arrested in Bhakkar

A man who had earlier been convicted for cannibalism along with his brother was once again arrested by police on Monday.

Today, a local police officer said that one of the two brothers had been arrested again with head of a new-born baby recovered from his home.

Police conducted a raid at the residence of Arif and Zaman on a tip off from neighbours and recovered the head of a child. Arif was arrested while Zaman remains missing and police are conducted raids for his arrest.

Brothers Arif and Zaman were arrested three years ago for cannibalism and a case had been lodged against them on 11 April 2011 in the Darya Khan police station. The Darya Khan civil judge had sentenced the brothers to a one year jail term and Rs200,000 fine each.

The brothers were released from prison on 18 May 2013. The residents of the area protested against the release of the brothers who remained out of sight for some time. However, they returned home and once again started eat human flesh.

  1. not much difference between these cannibals and the taliban terrorists who have been known to kick around heads of decapitated innocent people – both destined for hell !
