EPA seals 24 tyre shops, junkyards under anti-dengue drive
Environment Protection Agency (EPA), under its ongoing anti-dengue drive, has sealed 24 tyre shops and
junkyards and removed stagnant water from 102 dengue breeding sites during last ten days.
According to District Officer EPA, Mian Mohammed Nawaz, EPA teams visited 395 points, including 131 tyre shops, 244 junkyards, six nurseries, 10 godowns and 12 junkyards during the period and checked dengue mosquito larvae.
The EPA would continue to conduct such raids until the dengue mosquito was eliminated, he added.
