JAMSHORO
At least eight people, including four children, were killed in a road accident near Jamshoro Town in Sindh on Sunday.
According to rescue officials, the incident took place on the Indus Highway near Lakki Shah Saddar where a passenger coach collided head-on with a truck. Six people, including two children, died on the spot while several others sustained injuries.
The injured were rushed to Civil Hospital Sehwan where two children succumbed to their wounds. The hospital administration expressed fear that death toll may rise as condition of several others was critical.
Majority of those killed belonged to Surjani area of Karachi and were going to take part in the death anniversary of renowned saint Lal Shahbaz Qalandar.
