NBF’s three-day book festival from 22nd

The three-day National Book Festival will be held from April, 22 to 24 at Pak-China Friendship Centre, Islamabad in which diverse literary cultural and educational activities would be organized.

The book festival would be commenced under the supervision of Prof Dr Inamul Haq Javeid, National Book Foundation managing director and the celebrations include a variety of prestigious and colourful programmes on more than 40 segments, said a news release issued on Friday.

Among these most important would be the `Grand Book Fair’ which will consist of the books of different writers and publishers in different languages and fields. It is very important to mention that for the first time, in this Book Fair a separate segment named “Overseas Pakistani Writers Corner” has been planned in which those writers who would be in Pakistan in those days will read out excerpts/poetry from their books personally.

Those writers who cannot participate personally, may send two to 10 copies (each) of their books (free of cost) for this stall and different presenters will read excerpts/poetry from their books.

National Book Foundation is providing an opportunity to the Pakistani writers abroad to introduce their literary works in their native land and here so by doing this they will also be honouring National Book Foundation with their literary products.
