A kidnapper was killed in exchange of fire with police while three kidnapped persons were recovered on Friday.
The police on a tip off launched crackdown for recovering abducted persons in Surjani Town area of the metropolis. The accused present in a house of the area started firing at police and tried to flee which led to an encounter. In cross firing, a kidnapper was killed while his three accomplices managed to escape.
The police recovered a truck, two drivers Haq Nawaz, Imdad Ali and a cleaner Saeed Ahmed during the operation who had been kidnapped by the outlaws.
Meanwhile, the police conducted search operation at Madina Colony, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, and arrested more than 15 persons.
The police on reports of presence of criminals in Block 13-D, of Madina Colony , blocked all exit and entry roads into the colony, launched house-to-house search during which more than 15 suspects were detained. Gulshan-e-Iqbal Division police along with Rapid Response Force took part in the search operation.
