National Institute of Folk and Traditional Heritage, Lok Virsa, will hold its annual folk festival, popularly known as Lok Mela from Friday which will continue till April 20.
Lok Virsa has been organising this event as its annual feature since 1981.
Announcing the event, Lok Virsa’s Executive Director Shahera Shahid said that the festival will take place at Lok Virsa Complex, Garden Avenue, Shakarparain Hills.
Federal Minister for Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage Senator Pervaiz Rashid will formally inaugurate the festival as chief guest in a prestigious inaugural ceremony scheduled for today at 11:30am at Lok Virsa Open Air Theatre.
