Famous pop singer and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Abrarul Haq has been detained at the Dubai airport.
Haq was detained for not having a valid UAE visa on his Pakistani passport. According to reports the singer had traveled to Dubai with the wrong passport.
After reports of Abrarul Haq being detained, a team from the Pakistani Embassy reached the airport and is engaged with Dubai authorities for resolving the issue.
However, the singer’s media coordinator said that Abrarul Haq was not arrested in Dubai.
He said that there was only one-letter spelling difference in Abrar’s name on his passport and visa due to which he was stopped at the airport.
