Sindh govt to extend deadline for computerisation of arms’ licences

The Sindh Home Department on Wednesday moved a summary to the chief minister to extend deadline for computerisation of arms’ licenses in the province.
Addressing a meeting, Sindh Chief Secretary Sajjad Saleem Hotiana said that a three-month extension has been sought for computerisation of arms licences. The meeting was attended by Home Secretary Niaz Ali Abbasi, IG Iqbal Mahmood, Persecutor General Sher Muhammad Shaikh and IG prisons.
The meeting reviewed various issues relating to law and order in the province.
The home secretary briefed the meeting that security arrangements are being made for jails in Karachi, Hyderabad, Larkana and Sukkur.
The meeting was informed that recruitment in Sindh police and Rangers are being carried out with the consultation of the Interior Ministry.
The chief secretary advised the participants to ensure coordinated efforts, to achieve the task of good governance and improvement of law and order in the province.
