ISLAMABAD
Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly (NA) Khurshid Shah on Wednesday questioned the claims of the interior minister about foolproof security arrangements after Islamabad fruit market blast.
Talking to media at the Parliament House, Shah said that the bombing shattered claims of the authorities and put a big question mark on the performance of security agencies.
Expressing his grief over the loss of lives in the blast, he said that the banned terrorist outfit Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) denied its involvement in the carnage, but it must be traced out which group was involved in the bombing.
The opposition leader said that talks were important to restore peace but one could not draw desired results until the terrorists involved in sabotaging the peace process were exposed.
Shah advised the interior minister to look into the reports of secret agencies and improve performance of law enforcers instead of making verbal claims.
Shah said that Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif poses no threat to the Sharif brothers. Those judges should also be held accountable who had allowed Musharraf to bring amendments in the constitution, he added.
