ISLAMABAD
Taliban committee member Professor Ibrahim on Wednesday said that the Islamabad fruit market explosion was highly shocking and deplorable and added that the ceasefire declared by the Taliban remains unchanged.
In a TV interview, he said that the bombing was shocking and condemnable and added that the aim of such incidents was to harm the dialogue process.
He said that the Taliban have not claimed responsibility for this incident and he was not aware who could have been involved in the incident.
Professor Ibrahim said that it was not correct to say that the Taliban have ceased the ceasefire. “We want the ceasefire to take place on a permanent basis,” he said.
Another source of worry is the dominant role played by the military in policy making. One had hoped that the PML-N which enjoys absolute majority in National Assembly and has further strengthened its position through alliances
