ISLAMABAD
The All Pakistan CNG Association (APCNGA) on Wednesday demanded new gas load shedding schedule for CNG industry to mitigate problems of both the people and industry.
CNG filling stations should be permitted to provide gas to people for nine hours a day, for 18 hours on Wednesdays, ban should be put on electricity load shedding during operating hours, and proper gas pressure should be supplied, said Ghayas Abdullah Paracha, chairman Supreme Council of the APCNGA and Central Chairman Pervaiz Khan Khattak while addressing a joint press conference.
These demands if accepted would dramatically change the situation to soothe people which is also the earnest desire of the government, said Paracha.
He said that removing bottlenecks in the energy projects, doubling budget of all such projects, early import of LNG, finding new reserves, and efficient use of natural gas would also help improve the situation.
Paracha said that differences between gas companies and OGRA over UFG have resulted in reduced pressure that must be resolved.
He said that polices of the former government were anti-CNG but all the allegations levelled against this sector were cleared by the Supreme Court and other forums. However, he said that the government was serious in resolving all the issues for which they were grateful.
