KARACHI
An attempt of a major terrorism bid in Karachi was foiled by law enforcers on Wednesday by defusing a bomb planted in city’s busy commercial area.
A bomb weighing 14.5 kilogrammes was found concealed in a sack on Khalid Bin Waleed Road. Discovering the explosives, police immediately called the Bomb Disposal Squad.
The BDS team confirmed it was explosives weighing over 14-kg along with 2.5-kg attached with a detonator and defused it. Police and Rangers, meanwhile, searched the area, cordoning off its entry and exit points.
